Strategic orientation 1: Foster the development of an organizational culture within retail businesses:

  1. develop and promote human-resources management tools
  2. develop and promote continuing education
  3. develop occupational standards and strategies for the learning and recognition of skills.

Strategic orientation 2: Promote the sector, retail occupations and retail careers:

  1. identify the key players, develop relations and maintain networking activities with the organizations involved in the sector
  2. develop new communication and promotional tools
  3. increase awareness of the value of training within the sector.

Strategic orientation 3: Maintain a highly effective, representative and widely recognized organization:

  1. ensure the visibility of Détail Québec's products and services and explore new distribution methods
  2. 2. verify and validate sector-specific needs in accordance with Détail Québec's mission
  3. develop networking among retailers
  4. develop a help and information service for retailers and industry stakeholders.
